1.2 Appraising opportunities and threats

Now ask to examine the threats and Opportunities issues closely and take a view on the importance of these in terms of their potential impact on the business organization or firm. And requesting to state a view as to whether the total effects of Threats to the firm are greater than the total effect of the opportunities or vice-versa To assist firm or managers of organization in reaching these decision the following plan is presented for them to judge and use.

If the strength had equal to weakness the point of balance would have been in the centre of the lever which is given below:

This analysis is to consider future development and the future development and the formulation of the strategy by applying the principles of -Building on strength, Eliminating weaknesses, Exploiting Opportunities and Mitigating (justifying) threats to issue attributes by the managers.

The issues quality can be pursue forcefully with the aim of moving the organization value further along the opportunity scale through the formulation and implementation of strength building and opportunity taking strategies, whereas at the same time introduction damage limitation strategies to justifying Threats and take ve+ steps to eliminate Weaknesses.

At last it is very important to issue identification must concentrate on what is important to the firm or organization as a whole ; take a border perspective but , ensure that the area at the situation under the micro scope is clearly defined to know what issues are internal (S + W ) and what issues are external (O + T ).

SUMMARY, CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATION

This chapter consists with three parts – Summary, Conclusion and Recommendation. The first part deals with a summarization of the whole study, and second part presents the conclusion and the last part presents recommendation taking into considerations the major findings.

5.1. Summary

The study was conducted with the objective to analyze the different situation and the condition of market The study is based on the secondary data which is taken from the existing research, books or journals. The analysis of portfolio is done to obtain a better insight into a firm’s position and condition and their operating performance. Various methodologies and tools have been applied to know the portfolio analysis for the organization.

The major fundamental objective of the study was to analyze of portfolio analysis of the organizations or firm, which deals with the specific objectives of the study to know the trend in the protection, level of effective internal and external environmental structure, trend in assets quality, rates of returns and costs, liquidity position and sign of growth of institution and market over the previous situation.

SWOT is a performance monitoring system which determines the internal and external environment of institution through the application of its indicators. The indicators of SWOT were applied to find a strength of firm reduced the weaknesses of organization and compare of opportunity and threats.

5.2. Conclusion

Based on the study of its findings, the following conclusions have been drawn as its final shape of the study on the analysis of business organization within the SWOT standard.

5.2.1. Strength and weakness

Strength and the weakness is the internal business analysis imparts a useful sense about what the organization goals and strategic are most realistic and competent. The comparison of a organization strength and weakness with the ones of the main competitors result the identification of areas where the organization has competitive advantage. The internal factors which can be influenced:

Materials resources: eg. Manufacturing facilities, computers , communication network, capital structure.

Internal immaterial resources: eg . planning and controlling system, organization structure, information system and process, licences, contract trademark rights etc.

External immaterial resource: eg. Goodwill, company brand or product brand, quality, and costumer satisfaction.

Human resource factor: eg. Knowledge, motivation, training and corporate behaviour.

Competencies : eg. Quality, supply, demand marketing, cost reduction, flexibility.

We need to apply all this systems which helps to give more strength and try to reduce more and more the weaknesses of the organization for the achieving goals of organization. if we have weaknesses in our organization we can’t achieve our goal. So we will try to solving problems about the weakness of organization. It means make strength is greater than weakness. If the possible we need to remove all the weakness.

5.2.2 Opportunity and threats

This is the external environment of SWOT which require the business to look critically at the external factors affecting its performance. The sector of analysis covers the area discussed under the different model and PEST analysis. PEST means political, economical, social and technological.

We need to find out about opportunities where do we see interesting market development? What do competitors or partners fail to do that we could take advantage of? Are there any trends (technological, governmental, geographical, etc ) in society that could provide chance for organization? And other side was threats where our competitors are doing better or not? So organization need to think about threats like what are the firm competitors doing and what that firm should be doing for future and making plan? Are there any new rules and regulation that limit in that sector which is made by government or international rules? Is the firms financial position is healthy or not?

Organization is no longer able to invest in speedy technological developments (threats) because of resent cash-flow problem (weaknesses). However firms growth and result driven team (strength) is prepared to invest extra time and effort in opening up a new position market that nobody has thought of before to represent in more customers (opportunity).

5.3 Recommendation

In my opinion, organizations first priority should be to appropriate structure and organization in the good service for customers and motivate staffs. Increase highlighting on marketing firm successes and special initiatives, stressing the benefits to costumers. Increase the emphasis on the professional development of professional/technical and support staff a) with increased funding and b) by providing relief for staff to be away from work to participate in development activities. And another most important thing is the to manage external environmental subjects which cannot control by organization itself. So, organization make ma fixable plans for the future conditions. Which effects the organization itself like political environment , social environment, socio- cultural environmental, demographic etc.
